Visitors are very welcome, however, so that everyone can enjoy the show, we ask that you respect the following:
- Please do not block the street, or any driveways.
- Please do not use driveways to turn around. Stay on public roads at all times.
- Please drive slowly and carefully. There are a lot of children who jump out unexpectedly and the last thing we want is an accident.
- If you are driving, please watch out for cars in front of you as they sometimes stop suddenly.
- Please keep all litter in your vehicle.
- Please stay on public property at all times. This includes backing up into our neighbour's driveway to take pictures. Please do not cross the rope barriers to walk within our display, for your own safety, as there are lots of power cables and there is delicate equipment in use.
- If you'd like to stay and watch the show, that's great. Just make sure you pull over somewhere safe, and if possible, don't idle your car for too long as it can disturb our neighbours. We have an FM radio transmitter, that broadcasts the music on 89.1 MHz FM. It is connected to our display so we don't have to have loud speakers playing the music, late at night, which could disturb our neighbours. It defeats the purpose if cars roll down their windows or open their doors and crank up their car stereo. Please keep your stereo at a reasonable volume.
- Similarly, please avoid honking horns (whether to show appreciation, or other reasons). Car horns can really get on our neighbours (and our) nerves!
- If you bring children or pets please keep them under control at all times. This is for their safety and so that they don't disrupt the pleasure of others.
- The snow machine uses bubble bath. You are welcome to play in the snow, but try not to get bubbles in your eyes as it could sting!!!

Thinking of Taking Some Christmas Lights Photos?
If you take some photos or videos of our display please consider sending us a copy at daves_portal@hotmail.com or add them to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/DazzlingLights so that we can add them to our website. The following tips might assist you in taking some spectacular photographs of Christmas Light displays.
- One of the best things you can do when taking photographs of Christmas Lights is to switch the camera's flash OFF. Taking photos with the flash ON will wash out the lights and you'll lose the lighting effect.
- As there's not much light at night the camera's shutter will be open for longer. We recommend that you use a tripod so that your images aren't blurred.
- If you are taking pictures of lights, hold the camera VERY still. The slightest movement can make the picture VERY blurry.
- Take more than one picture. Sometimes, pictures that look good in the viewfinder of the camera do not come out when they are full sized. Also as the lights flash on and off at different times you may end up with quite different effects.
- In 2009 we introduced the concept of 30 second blocks between certain musical tracks where all of the lights were switched on to allow photographs to be taken. This was very successful and will be done again this year.
