2009 Planning Begins:

Planning has well and truly begun for our 2009 display. The major changes for 2009 include:
- Replacement of the 9 ropelight mini trees with 9 x 3 colour LED string mini trees.
- Partial linking of 3 houses in a row with a probable animated snowball fight across the rooflines of the 3 houses.
- Creation of a 4 colour x 8 segment Marty Fan (4.6m W x 2.3m H) in the garage. This is based on an expanded version of what William at www.twodoglights.com put together in 2008. I'm just waiting for my Christmas present of a welder to arrive so that I can start construction.
- Addition of animated singers including Frosty the Snowman as the lead vocalist and a couple of animated Buck reindeers singing in the background, to be located in our Garage. This was inspired by Art's Reindeer House in 2008. Our version will include the ability for visitors to interrupt the show by pressing a series of buttons to choose a range of kid friendly songs sung by our band of animated singers. I've ordered a 12 channel remote control today, from the US, so that I can also change aspects of the show remotely, eg: If the media want to see all of the lights on, or I want to force the snow machine on, etc.
- Construction of a sleigh for Santa and the visiting kids to sit on, complete with lighting.
